Jennie Lippert, M.A.
Executive Director

Jennie has been with Ecumen since December 2015. She has her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, and an Associate’s degree in Nursing. Jennie is passionate about working with seniors and enjoys leading the team at Ecumen of Litchfield.

Outside of work Jennie enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching and playing sports and playing with her dog, Gabbie.

Shanda Stinson, RN
Housing RN Clinical Director

Shanda has worked for Ecumen for 23 years. She has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Ridgewater College. Her favorite thing about her job is being greeted by the clients every day.

Community Involvement:

  • Junior Olympic Volleyball Coach
  • Ridgewater College Clinical Instructor at Ecumen of Litchfield

Outside of work, Shanda enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle Rierson
Account Specialist

Michelle has worked for Ecumen since August 2004. She has a diploma from St. Cloud Technical College. Her favorite thing about her job is spending time with the residents, hearing stories about the “good old days”.

Michelle enjoys camping, boating, playing volleyball and reading. Her favorite activity is spending time with her family.

Michelle Schoolmeesters
Service Coordinator

Michelle has worked for Ecumen since March of 2000. She has an Associate’s Degree from Willmar Community College. Michelle enjoys spending time with the tenants and empowering them to live the lifestyle they choose.

Community Involvement:

  • Church Choir, Women’s Group and the Area Faith Community Pastoral Council at The Church of St. Philip
  • Forest City Stockade Volunteer
  • Meeker Area Care Connection Co-Chair

Michelle enjoys camping, canoeing, walking and reading, but time best spent is with family and being a grandma.

Dawn Doty
Adult Day Services Coordinator

Dawn has worked for Ecumen for 10 years. She enjoys working with the Adult Day clients.

Community Involvement:

  • Church Council and Mission Study Tours at First Lutheran
  • Lutheran Social Services
  • Respite Care
  • AmeriCorps

Outside of work, Dawn enjoys spending time with family, going to their cabin, biking and going to the gym.

Cindy Whitcomb
Human Resource Specialist

Cindy began working at Ecumen of Litchfield in March 2015. Utilizing her Human Services degree from Willmar Community College, she enjoys her role of hiring and working with our wonderful staff.

Community Involvement:

  • Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Basketball


In her time off from work, Cindy enjoys working on her family farm where she assists her husband raising beef cattle, chickens, pigs, and goats. Her favorite time is when the farm is full of babies. By far the best addition to the family farm is her grandson Emmett.

Rod Flann
Maintenance Supervisor

Born and raised in Hutchinson, Rod started with Ecumen December 2013 after working as an electrician for 34 years. What he enjoys most about his job is helping the residents enjoy their maintenance-free lifestyle. His catch phrase is “Write Me a Note” to schedule a task in the building.

Community Involvement:

  • Life-member of Cedar Mills Gun Club and board member for 3 years

Rod’s hobbies include fishing all summer, then switching to hunting in the fall. He can be seen on his motorcycle or tooling around in his 1973 Cadillac or his 1954 Ford pickup. He’s restoring a 1959 Mercury in his spare time.

Amy Larson
Dietary Manager

Amy started as a Dining Room Aide in 1990 in the Gloria Dei Dining Room and Emmanuel Home when we were known as Board of Social Ministry (Augustana Homes). She became the Dietary Manager at Emmanuel Home in April 1996. Over the years she has managed both kitchens when staff was shared between our sites. With the sale of Emmanuel Home in 2016, Amy now manages the Gloria Dei Dining Room full time. Amy enjoys working with our tenants and their dietary needs, the Meals on Wheels program and she is looking forward to exciting changes in our food service programs in the future as our needs change.

Community Involvement:

  • Former Board member LDC Youth Hockey
  • Volunteer with the LDC Fundraising Committee

In her spare time, Amy enjoys gardening, canning, being outside, & spending time with family and friends. Watching her children’s activities of swimming, football, marching band, hockey, and baseball keeps Amy busy.

Sandy Dougherty, RN
Ecumen Home Care & Hospice – Litchfield Clinical Director

Sandy has been back with Ecumen since 2008 and she had previously worked at Emmanuel Home for 11 years. She has an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Ridgewater College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Walden University. Sandy is passionate about helping clients stay in their own homes and providing end of life hospice care.

Community Involvement:

  • Member of Minnesota Hospice & Palliative Care Work Group
  • Member of Minnesota Home Care Association Work Group
  • Ecumen Corporate QAPI Member
  • Beckville Church Board Member & Treasurer

Sandy enjoys camping, gardening, walking, and reading. Her favorite times are spent with her family and friends.

Judy Loecken
Hospice Social Worker

Judy joined Ecumen Hospice-Litchfield as the Hospice Social Worker in 2002. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Saint Benedict’s. Her favorite part of her job is that it doesn’t feel like a job, it’s more of a ministry. It’s about being present with clients & family during a sacred time.

Community Involvement:

  • 4-H Volunteer
  • Eucharistic Minister and Faith Formation Teacher

Judy has been married for 26 years, has 4 children and enjoys helping her husband with farm chores and field work. To relax, she enjoys crocheting, quilting and playing games with her family.

Brittany Dobson
PERS Coordinator

Brittany is our Personal Emergency Response Systems Coordinator. She has worked for Ecumen since March 2014. Three years were spent in Bethany Memory Care and then she joined the Home Care & Hospice team. Her favorite part about her job is knowing she is giving her clients extra comfort in their homes when they receive their "PERS" units.

When Brittany is not at work, she’s spending most of her time playing with her dog Bella, hanging out and going on adventures with her husband & doing DIY projects.

Ronda Anderson
Community Relations Manager

Ronda joined Ecumen of Litchfield in October 2016. She has her Associate of Arts degree from St. Cloud State University, her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Capella University and her Mini-Masters of Marketing from University of St. Thomas.

Ronda’s role includes visiting with our professional referral partners for housing, home care, and hospice, as well as our community residents.

  • Litchfield Chamber of Commerce Business Member
  • Meeker Area Care Connection Member
  • Sr. Providers of McLeod County Member
  • Litchfield Area Shrine Club and Zuhrah Shrine Club (Volunteer/Lady)

Outside of work, Ronda enjoys spending time with family (including her fur family) and friends, reading, and gardening. She can be found making pudgie pies and s’mores by a bonfire on weekends.

Stacy Anderson
RN Case Manager

Stacy received her Associates degree in nursing from Ridgewater College of Hutchinson and she has worked for Ecumen since January 2017. Stacy has been in the nursing field since 2002 because she loves being with people.


In her downtime, Stacy enjoys spending time with family, camping, and shopping.

Amie Hedlund

Amie Hedlund is an LPN at the Ecumen of Litchfield Home Care & Hospice. She has been an LPN for 5 years since receiving her AAS-PN degree at Rasmussen College in St. Cloud. Before that Amie received a Bachelor's of Science in Criminal Justice Studies at NDSU. Amie's healthcare career has mainly been at the St. Cloud Hospital, only recently starting in May 2017 at Ecumen. Amie wakes up excited every day to come to work and never leaves a nursing visit without giving a hug!

Community Involvement:

  • St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Watkins, MN
  • Volunteer at the Eden Valley Watkins Elementary 

In her free time, Amie enjoys her time at home on the lake with her three daughters, husband, and 2 dogs. Aside from reading, working out, canoe trips, gardening, crafts, fishing, and cooking her most favorite hobby is CLEANING.

The biggest reason Amie enjoys working at Ecumen is that her co-workers and patients have become a family to her. She has never cared so much for people while working as she has since starting with Ecumen. Amie describes the staff as the kindest, most caring people and the patients are just fabulous all around. She would not trade her job for the world!

Beth Kern
RN Case Manager

Beth joined Ecumen in September 2016 after spending 8 years in the Navy and receiving her RN BSN from Hawaii Pacific University. She really enjoys spending time getting to know clients and their families with home care and hospice, and seeing their faces light up when she pays them a visit.

For fun, Beth enjoys stamping cards, reading, watching movies with my family, fishing and camping.
